Experience

Less a résumé timeline, more a journey through environments that each changed how I work, ending at the one I'm headed toward.

  1. Stage 1 · People + operations

ShopRite · Cashier, Clerk, Self Checkout Host

    Jan 2024 – Present

Working in a fast-moving retail environment taught me how to communicate with different people, handle multiple priorities, and solve problems while operations continue around me.

    What I developed

    • Communication
    • Customer service
    • Team collaboration
    • Problem solving
    • Attention to operational detail
  2. Stage 2 · Evaluation + precision

Handshake AI · Project Hedgehog · Annotator

    Jan 2026 – Present

Evaluating model responses made me more systematic about correctness, consistency, and edge cases, using defined criteria instead of assuming an output is correct because it looks plausible.

    What I developed

    • AI model evaluation
    • Quality assurance
    • Data annotation
    • Analytical thinking
    • Attention to detail
  3. Stage 3 · Systems + troubleshooting

Montclair State University · IT Support Analyst

    May 2026 – Present

IT support taught me to diagnose problems from incomplete information, communicate technical steps to non-technical users, and tell symptoms apart from the actual cause of a problem.

    What I developed

    • Troubleshooting
    • Technical support
    • Information technology
    • Networking
    • Problem solving
    • Communication
  4. Stage 4 · Research + rigor

Montclair State University, School of Computing · Undergraduate Research Scholar (Mentor: Dr. Stefan Robila)

    Sep 2026 – Present

Researching metadata standardization for hyperspectral datasets showed me that discoverability is a data-modeling problem before it's a search problem, and pushed me to write code that holds up against messy, inconsistent real-world metadata.

    What I developed

    • Research methodology
    • Metadata standardization
    • Geospatial data processing
    • Python
    • Working with a faculty mentor
  5. Stage 5 · Builder

    Software & Research Projects

    2024 – Present

Moving from solving individual technical problems to designing complete systems (choosing the data model, the trust boundary, the platform) and living with those decisions as the projects grew.

    What I developed

    • System design
    • Architectural decisions
    • Full-stack and mobile development
    • Working from a problem, not a spec
